The walk began at 7AM when Governor Rick Snyder led the charge. According to MLive, more than 40,000 walkers were expected today.

Michigan Department of Transportation officials are asking walkers to share their bridge-walking experience on social media by either posting on the MDOT Facebook page or using #MightyMacWalk16.
