MARQUETTE, Mich. — For a state that ranks sixth in most craft breweries, there can never be enough beer festivals—especially in the Upper Peninsula.
The eighth annual U.P. Fall Beer Festival will take place Saturday, September 10th, at Mattson Lower Harbor Park in Marquette from 1pm to 6pm. Tickets are priced at $40 pre-order or $45 at the door—however, the festival’s organizers expect to be sold out prior to the event beginning.
More than 60 breweries will be attending the festival, which is being organized by the Michigan Brewers Guild. Attendees include downstate favorites such as Bell’s and Founders, as well as local breweries such as Blackrocks, Jasper Ridge and Ore Dock.
Local Marquette restaurants will be in attendance providing food and live music will be played throughout the event.
The craft beer industry has been extremely positive for the Michigan economy, ranking ninth in the nation in economic impact for the state, according to the Brewers Association. The Michigan Economic Development Corporation, or MEDC, has even taken notice, creating the below Pure Michigan commercial.
